Rift Runner

Cut the rift. Claim the ground.

Rift Runner is a quick single-player arcade game for iPhone. Slide out from the safe edge, draw a line across the field and close it to claim everything on the far side, while the creatures of the rift hunt you. Claim enough of each field to clear the round. 24 rounds in six worlds plus 16 harder bonus rounds, a new Daily every day, an Endless mode and an optional online scoreboard for every round. No ads, no waiting timers, no tricks.

What it is

One idea, played at speed

You steer with your thumb in landscape. Every cut is a small risk: the longer your line is out in the open, the easier it is to hit. Bigger claims score more, chains of claims score more again, and every round, enemy and boss behaves the same way every time, so a score is always a fair score.

Four difficulty levels (Casual for practice, Normal, Hard and Arcade) and a full set of accessibility options let you play it your way.

Free to start

Rounds 1 to 3 are free

The first three rounds, the free Daily Mini and every accessibility option cost nothing and have no time limit. Play them as long as you like and see whether the game is for you.

The full game

One purchase, once

A single one-time unlock opens campaign rounds 4 to 24, the 16 bonus rounds, Endless mode and the full Daily. There is no subscription, no coins, no energy that refills with time, no paid continues and no loot boxes. The App Store shows the price in your country before you buy.

Offline and private

No ads, no tracking, no account

Every round works with no internet connection at all. Nothing is sent from your phone unless you use the scoreboard. There are no ads and no analytics or tracking tools. See the privacy policy for the details.

Things to earn

Medals, colours and planets

Four medals to earn in every round on every level, ship colours and trails unlocked by playing, eight runner characters to pick from, and a planet gallery that reveals more of a painted space scene with every bit of ground you claim. Five art styles, from neon to paper cut-outs to a pixel arcade look.

Scoreboard

A board for every round

Every round on every level, the bonus rounds, Endless and the Daily have their own scoreboard. When you set a new best, choose to save it with a nickname, save it as ANONYMOUS, or not save it at all. No account and no sign-in. Top scores are checked by replaying their recorded moves, and scores that fail the check are hidden. Nicknames follow the nickname rules.

Made for your thumb

Four ways to steer

SWIPE+, JOYSTICK, TAP+STICK and PAD+CUT, with left or right-handed layouts. Switch between them any time in Settings; the free rounds let you try all four.
